Turn a period of practice into a recap image

A recap gathers practice you have already done. Choose a day, week or month to see how long you practised, which pieces you worked on and any recorded playback-speed changes. If you want to send that period to a teacher or friend—or keep it in your photos—choose “Share image”. You share an image, not your complete practice history.

If you want someone else to practise the same video section, send a loop link with its starting speed instead. A recap is about what you did; a practice link is an invitation for someone else to start.

A one-time, de-identified practice snapshot labelled mia_guitar. The demo scrolls the recap card automatically; the share image lists only some songs. It does not read your record or update with that account.

Find the period you want to share

The Practice Stairway plots your practice by date. Select a bar to open its day, week or month recap. The recap entry point can also open an overview for today, the last seven days or the last 30 days. Choose the period you mean to show rather than sending your entire record. The practice tracker guide explains the Stairway and the statistics for an individual piece.

The time on a recap is elapsed practice time, not the video's original duration. A change in playback speed records a practice setting; it does not mean the app listened to or graded your playing. A period without a faster speed is still real practice.

Check what the image contains

“Share image” creates a portrait image with the period, total practice time, some of the pieces and any recorded playback-speed changes that can be shown. When there are many pieces, the image indicates how many more are not listed. The total can also include metronome or other practice without a song row, so adding the visible song times may not equal the total. If your account has a username, it appears as attribution. The walkthrough uses a one-time, de-identified practice snapshot, not your record or a live account export.

Check the recap before tapping “Share image”. If the image downloads, open the PNG before posting it. Anyone who receives it can read the visible song titles, practice time and account name. If you do not want to disclose those details, do not publish it. Generating the image does not post it automatically.

On a phone, a browser that supports file sharing will offer the system share sheet; otherwise the image downloads. On desktop, the PNG normally downloads so you can save or send it yourself. Recap images are available to free users and do not require Pro.

Frequently asked questions

Can I share one day without sharing all my practice history?

Yes. Open that day's recap and generate its image. Week and month recaps likewise represent only the selected period; sharing does not publish your practice database.

Can someone open the image to see my live statistics?

No. It is an image captured at the time you make it, not a live public record or a teacher-monitoring page.

How is practice time counted?

It is the actual elapsed time recorded in Practice mode. When you slow a video, that time is not multiplied into the video's original length.

Can I use the recap as an exercise for someone else?

It shows your practice. To let someone open the same video passage and work on it themselves, share a YouTube practice loop. Their practice record starts on their own account or device.

Open your practice record, select a day, week or month, and check the image before deciding whether to save or share it.
