You can give your audience a good free practice tool without replacing your lesson or asking them to pay.
Choose the link that matches your lesson. A shared song carries a chosen passage, speed and prompt. A simple deep link opens the video for practice without those presets.
Create a free account and add your YouTube video to your Library. Mark the passage you want to teach, then use Share on its song card to choose the loop, set a starting speed and add an optional note (for example, “Repeat this at 75% before trying full speed”). Send it directly to friends you’ve added in the app, or choose “Anyone with the link” to copy a public link or show its QR code. Anyone with the public link can start practising as a guest.
Let visitors open the practice tool directly from your lesson page. Add a link labelled “Open with Stairway2Fast” beside a video, or replace an existing YouTube link. For a standard watch URL, replace the blue YouTube URL prefix below with the green Stairway2Fast prefix, keeping the same ?v= and video ID:

Let it fill in each video's ID after v=, so the same practice-link pattern works across every lesson page made from that template.
The deep link opens the video in practice mode. If its YouTube description has chapter timestamps, they can load as loop sections.
Paste your page URL for a QR code that points to it unchanged. You can also paste a YouTube video URL to send viewers straight to practice. The QR code itself never expires; it works as long as the destination remains available.
Use the link or code in a lesson page, video description, pinned comment, handout or PDF. It should sit where someone is ready to practise, not interrupt the lesson.
First, an admission: looping and slowing down aren't special. YouTube can change speed, and free loopers exist. The hard part is coming back tomorrow without losing the passage and pace you worked out today.

You can also send a loop from your own lesson, already set to a useful starting speed. Your teaching stays at the centre; we give students a place to practise it.
No. They can open a practice link as guests. Their practice stays in that browser; a free account helps them keep it across devices.
Stairway2Fast started as a tool we built for our own practice. We kept losing the loops and speeds we'd set, along with the record of how far we'd come, so we made the tool we wanted to use ourselves. It solved that problem for us, and we hope it helps others facing the same frustration.
That is why the useful core is permanently free, not a trial: looping and slowing down YouTube videos, saved loops, a practice record, spaced review, and playing over chords in Quick Jam. Students can start as guests; a free account keeps their progress across devices. With a free account, you can also make and share practice links and QR codes. Pro is a paid plan for additional features such as deeper insights, cloud storage for files you upload, and AI separation for those uploads. Those services have ongoing costs, so we cannot make everything free.
Yes. If the free practice tools are enough for them, please say plainly that they do not need Pro. We would rather they keep practising for free than pay for features they will not use.
Practice uses your original YouTube video in the embedded player, not a copy hosted by us. Your video and channel remain the source; Stairway2Fast gives viewers a place to work on what you taught.
No. Your tabs and courses teach what to play and why. A practice link gives someone a place to repeat that part of your lesson; it does not replace the lesson.
A per-song Share from your Library can be revoked in Settings → My shares. Its link and QR code point to the same share, so after revocation neither opens the prepared loop, speed and note. Direct video deep links and QR codes for your own website are not individual shares you can revoke in the app.
Guests' practice records stay in their own browsers; neither you nor we can see an individual guest's practice history. If someone creates an account, their progress is saved to that account so they can continue across devices. We do not give creators individual learner reports.
